Man-machine material method ring measurement is the abbreviation of six main factors affecting product quality in the theory of total quality management.

So first of all, what is 5M1E?

A) Man: operator's understanding of quality, technical proficiency, physical condition, etc.;

B) Machine: precision and maintenance of machinery, equipment and measuring instruments;

C) Material: composition, physical properties and chemical properties of a Material;

D) Method: this includes production process, equipment selection, operation procedures, etc.;

E) Measurement: It mainly refers to whether the method used in the Measurement is standard and correct;

F) Environment: temperature, humidity, lighting and cleaning conditions of the working place;

Since the first letters of the names of these five factors are M and E, they are often shortened to 5M1E.

We know that the process is the basic link of product formation, and the quality of the process is the basis of guaranteeing product quality. The quality of the process has an important impact on product quality, production cost and production efficiency.

Process standardization plays a key role in ensuring process quality, and process standardization plays a prominent role in process quality improvement.

Process quality is affected by 5M1E, namely, people, machine, material, method, ring and measurement. Process standardization is to seek the standardization of 5M1E.

So how do we control these six factors to form standardization to achieve the purpose of stable product quality?

1. Human analysis:

1) Skills?

2) Does the system affect people's work?

3) Is it a matter of selection?

4) Is the training insufficient?

5) Is it a skill mismatch?

6) Are people obsessed with the company?

7) Is there a responsible person?

8) Can a man operate a machine? Do people fit in? Does the person understand the method? Does anyone know the material?

(1) Production personnel meet the post skill requirements and have passed relevant training and assessment.

(2) For the special process, the operation of the special process and the professional knowledge and operation skills that the inspection personnel should have should be clearly specified. Those who pass the examination should be on duty with the certificate.

(3) Operators can strictly abide by the company's rules and operate in strict accordance with the process documents, and be responsible for work and quality.

(4) The inspectors shall carry out the inspection in strict accordance with the technological procedures and inspection instructions, make the original inspection records, and submit them as required.

2. Machine analysis:

It is to point to the equipment, tools and other auxiliary production tools used in production. In production, the normal operation of equipment and the quality of tools are another factor affecting the production schedule and product quality.

1) Is the selection right?

2) Is there a maintenance problem?

3) Does the matching to the machine correspond?

4) Is the person who makes the machine right? Is the operation of the machine correct? Is the machine adapted to the environment?

The management of machinery and equipment is divided into three aspects, namely use, point inspection and maintenance. Use is to train operators according to the performance and operation requirements of the machine and equipment, so that they can correctly operate and use the equipment for production, which is the most basic content of equipment management.

Spot inspection refers to the confirmation of the status and performance of the equipment according to certain standards before and after use, and the early detection of equipment abnormalities to prevent the unexpected use of the equipment, which is the key to equipment management.

Maintenance refers to the maintenance, cleaning, and oiling of the equipment according to the characteristics of the equipment at certain intervals to prevent equipment deterioration and extend the service life of the equipment. It is an important part of equipment management.

2.1 Main control measures are as follows:

(1) There is a complete equipment management method, including the purchase, circulation, maintenance, maintenance, verification of equipment are clearly stipulated.

(2) All provisions of the equipment management measures shall be effectively implemented, with equipment ledgers, equipment skills files, maintenance verification plans and relevant records, which shall be complete and accurate.

(3) Production equipment, inspection equipment, tooling tools, measuring instruments, etc., are in line with the requirements of technological procedures and can meet the requirements of process capacity. If the processing conditions change over time, they can be adjusted and compensated in time to ensure the quality requirements.

(4) Production equipment, inspection equipment, tooling tools and measuring instruments are in good condition and under control.

3. Analysis of materials:

1) Is it the real thing?

2) Is the model right?

3) Does it have a shelf life?

4) Has the in-factory inspection been conducted?

5) Does it conform to the specification?

6) Does the material adapt to the environment, does the material cooperate with the machine, and does the material and other materials not affect each other?

3.1 Main control measures are as follows:

(1) Have clear and feasible management systems for material procurement, storage, transportation, quality inspection and other aspects, and strictly implement them.

(2) Establish the incoming inspection, warehousing, storage, marking and release system, and implement it carefully, and strictly control the quality.

(3) Raw materials or semi-finished products transferred to this process must comply with the provisions of technical documents.

(4) The processed semi-finished products and finished products meet the quality requirements and have batch or serial number identification.

(5) Have control methods for nonconforming products, have clear responsibilities, and can effectively isolate, mark, record and deal with nonconforming products.

(6) Effective management of production material information and traceability of quality problems.

4. Analysis of Method:

1) Is it done according to the law?

2) Can you see it?

3) Do you understand?

4) Is the law suitable?

5) Is there any law?

6) Is the method given to the corresponding person? Does the method go down in this environment?

4.1 Main control measures are as follows:

1) The process flow layout is scientific and reasonable to ensure that the product quality meets the requirements.

2) Can distinguish the key process, special process and general process, effectively establish the process quality control point, can clearly mark the process and control point.

3) Having formal and effective production management methods, quality control methods and process operation documents.

4) There are operating procedures or operating instructions for the main processes. The operating documents put forward specific technical requirements for personnel, tooling, equipment, operating methods, production environment, process parameters, etc. In addition to specifying the process parameters, the process specification of a special process should also specify the control method of process parameters, preparation of samples, working medium, equipment and environmental conditions.

5) Important process parameters and characteristic values of process documents have been evaluated or verified by process; For the change of main process parameters of special process, the document can only be changed after full test verification or expert argumentation.

6) Stipulate inspection points, inspection methods and reception criteria for each quality control point, and stipulate relevant treatment methods.

7) Stipulate and implement the process document preparation, evaluation and approval procedures to ensure that the documents used in the production site are correct, complete and uniform, the process documents are under control, and the current valid version of the process documents can be obtained on the site.

8) All documents can be strictly implemented, and recorded materials can be filled in as required in time.

5. Analysis of rings:

1) Has the environment changed in the timeline?

2) Are light, temperature, humidity, altitude and pollution taken into account?

3) Is the environment safe?

4. Is the environment man-made? Can the small and the big go together?

1) Workplace environment. It refers to the arrangement of various products and raw materials, the arrangement of tools and equipment and personal 5S.

2) Control of dangerous goods. One is the accumulation of chemicals, such as alcohol and water. The second is the control of six chemical substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers) in the production process.

3) Production environment. It refers to the control of temperature, humidity, dust-free degree and other requirements for production conditions in specific production process.

5.1 Main control measures are as follows:

1) The production site environmental health management system.

2) Environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and light meet the requirements of production technical documents.

3) There are relevant safety and environmental protection equipment and measures in the production environment, and the health and safety of workers meet the requirements of laws and regulations.

4) The production environment should be kept clean, tidy and orderly, without sundries unrelated to production. Refer to 5S related requirements.

5) Materials, semi-finished products and appliances are placed and stored neatly.

6) The relevant environmental records can be effectively filled in or obtained.

6. Analysis of the test:

1) Is the process inspection planning document ready?

2) Is the process measuring instrument fully configured? Does the performance meet the requirements? Do you measure regularly?

3) Is the inspection planning reasonable?

4) Are the inspectors qualified?

5) Is the delivery point reasonable?

6.1 Main control measures include:

1) Determine the measurement task and the required accuracy, and select the test equipment to be used with the required accuracy and precision capability.

2) Regularly confirm, calibrate and adjust all measurement and test equipment.

3) Stipulate the necessary calibration procedures. The contents include equipment type, number, location, check period, check method, acceptance method, acceptance standard, and the measures to be taken when problems occur.

4) Keep calibration records.

5) When measuring and testing equipment is found not in the calibrated state, the validity of the previous measurement and test results shall be assessed immediately and recorded in the relevant documents.

Process standardization has set clear requirements for 5M1E. We should incorporate process standardization into the overall plan of process quality improvement. On the basis of formulating relevant standardization requirements, through the investigation and analysis of process quality, the implementation deviation of specific requirements of process standardization is found, and then improvement measures are taken. Through the continuous cycle of process quality improvement, promote the real realization of process standardization and continuous improvement, so as to realize the continuous improvement of process quality.
