High frequency welding uses solid resistance heat as energy source. During welding, the resistance heat generated by high-frequency current in the workpiece heats the surface of the workpiece welding area to a molten or nearly plastic state, and then imposes (or does not impose) the forging force to achieve the metal combination. Therefore, it is a solid phase resistance welding method.

High frequency welding is different from resistance welding. When High frequency welding, welding current only parallel to the workpiece surface. The current in resistance welding flows perpendicular to the welding interface. In general, the frequency of high frequency welding is 300 ~ 450kHz; Resistance welding uses 50kHz power frequency electricity.

High-frequency welding principle: high-frequency electrical energy can be concentrated on the surface of the weldment by thebuy single double cardan half shaft - Xinsanming skin effect of high-frequency current, and the position and range of the flow route of high-frequency current can be controlled by the proximity effect. When the high frequency current is required to concentrate on a certain part of the weldment, this requirement can be achieved by forming a current loop between the conductor and the weldment and placing the conductor close to this part of the weldment so that they form adjacent conductors between each other.

High-frequency welding is based on the specific form and special requirements of the welding structure, mainly using skin effect and proximity effect, so that the surface metal to be welded can be quickly heated to achieve welding.

High frequency welding can be divided into contact high frequency welding and induction high frequency welding according to the way that high frequency current generates heat in the workpiece. Contact high frequency welding, high frequency current through mechanical contact with the workpiece and into the workpiece. Induction high frequency welding, high frequency current through the coupling effect of the workpiece external induction ring, induction current in the workpiece. High frequency welding is mainly used to weld longitudinal or spiral joints when manufacturing pipes.

1)  High frequency resistance welding: high frequency current into the workpiece with roller or contactor as electrode. weldable tube diameter of 1200 mm, wall thickness of 16 mm, I-steel belly thickness of 9.5 mm, high productivity.

2)  High frequency induction welding: heating workpiece with induction coil, often used for longitudinal welding of small and medium-sized diameter steel pipe and brass pipe, can also be used for circular welding, but the power loss is larger than high frequency resistance welding.

High-frequency welding has the following characteristics:

1. Because the current is highly concentrated in the welding area, the heating speed is very fast, the welding speed can be up to 150 ~ 200m/min.

2. The welding speed is fast, the self-cooling effect of welding parts is strong, not only the heat affected area is small, but also not easy to oxidize, so the microstructure and performance of the weld is very good.

3.  Weldment surface cannot be cleaned before welding, thus improving efficiency.

4.  Awide variety of metal, product shape specifications.

Common problems and solutions of high-frequency welding:

1. Welding is not stable, welding, cold stack

Cause: Too small output power and pressure.

Solutions:

1) Adjust power:

2) The bad shape of the thick pipe changes the groove;

3) Adjust the extrusion pressure.

2.  Ripples appear on both sides of the weld

Reason: Convergence Angle is too large.

Solutions:

1) Adjust the position of guide roller;

2) Adjust the solid bending forming section;

3) Improve the welding speed.

3. The weld has deep pits and pinholes

Cause: excessive fever.

Solutions:

1) Adjust the position of the guide roller to increase the rendezvous Angle;

2) Adjust the power;

3) Improve the welding speed.

4. The weld burr is too high

Cause: The heat-affected zone is too wide.

Solutions:

1) Improve welding speed;

2) Adjust the power.

5. Slag

Cause: The input power is too large and the welding speed is too slow.

Solutions:

1) Adjust power;

2) Improve the welding speed.

6. External crack of weld

Reason: base material quality is not good; Too much pressure.

Solutions:

1) Ensure material quality;

2) Adjust the extrusion pressure.

7. Wrong welding, lap welding

Reason: poor molding accuracy.

Solution: adjust the unit forming die roll. High frequency welding is pipe welding
